Why is everybody smiling? Because it's New Guys Cook the Burgers Day, of course.

Why is everyone smiling in our company picture? Because TimeKeeping Systems is a great place to work? That's true, of course, but it's not the only reason.

"New Guys Cook the Burgers Day" is our little hazing ritual for new employees. There's a little piece of the South Chagrin Reservation – part of the Cleveland Metroparks – near our office with picnic tables and a grill. New hires have the assignment of cooking lunch for the rest of the company.

Of course, it's mainly a chance for everyone to get to know the new guys, so we're not expecting a gourmet meal. It's considered a success if no one goes to the hospital (no one has so far). A few have turned out to be really good cooks and we've had some great meals.
