The Simple Secret of Our Success
April 27, 2010 — With this, our first post, and the introduction of our new web site, we want to express our appreciation
to our customers, who are the reason for our success.

An inside joke here at TimeKeeping Systems is the way I all too often expect things will be simple when they're really not.
Many here have sweated and toiled at projects that at first blush seemed simple but soon proved otherwise.
I guess I say "it's simple" pretty often, because one year my colleagues gave me a book they had specially made with
"Everything I Know About Making Things Simple" embossed on the cover, and 300 blank pages inside. Maybe that will give
you an idea of the sense of humor at our company.
Some of the best things we have done at this company have started from a kernel of unfounded optimism. By the time we
understood how difficult the project really was, we were too far along to quit.
But at a basic level, the secret of our success is simple:
- Hire the best people
- Take care of the customer
- Build great products
Lots of companies say they do these things, and saying we do them too won't make a believer out of anyone.
We know that our reputation is earned one sale at a time, one phone call at a time, one contact at at time, over many
years. To our customers, who have given us the chance to do so for twenty-five years, thank you.
