Receivers for tracking of people and things

Receivers acquire the transmissions from the tags and forward them to the Guard1 Tracking server. The simplest method of mounting receivers is covert mounting in a suspended ceiling, such as in corridors and meeting rooms. In housing units or recreation areas, where it is not practical or possible to hide the receiver, it can be mounted to a wall or ceiling or positioned with metal conduit. The hard plastic shell shown in the photo is very durable. We’ve pounded on it with hammers and thrown basketballs at it.

Proper location of the receivers is a very important part of the Guard1 Tracking implementation. Receiver location depends on a number factors, including the physical layout of your facility, access for cable, and what areas you are trying to cover. We have a number of techniques in the physical mounting of the receivers and in software that can help us optimize the receiver performance.

Receivers connect to the Guard1 system via Ethernet. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is supported and recommended.

Receivers can be mounted unobtrusively on a wall or ceiling in a hardened enclosure, or covertly above a suspended ceiling.

Receiver for Covert Mounting

Housed in a simple ABS plastic case, these receivers are suitable for mounting above a suspended ceiling or in a similar covert location. Where abuse or tampering is not an issue, they can be located almost anywhere.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) means no separate power cable is needed if you have a PoE connection.

Our receivers can also be housed in a hardened case for mounting almost anywhere. They are rugged, waterproof, and resistant to just about any type of abuse.
