Symptoms

When you upgrade from EasyTour version 1.0 to 1.1, the installer indicates that the upgrade was successful, but when you open EasyTour it still shows version 1.0.2187.0.

Viewing the Support Information in Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Control Panel > Programs and Features (Windows Vista/7) shows the EasyTour version as 1.1.2396.0.

Cause

Due to a problem with the EasyTour 1.1 installer, upgrades do not work correctly. Although no errors are displayed and the installer indicates that the upgrade was successful, none of the EasyTour 1.0 files are changed, and no EasyTour 1.1 files are installed.

Resolution

You must uninstall EasyTour 1.0 via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Control Panel > Programs and Features (Windows Vista/7). You should also uninstall the USB Downloader USB-to-USB Driver that was installed with version 1.1.

After uninstalling, proceed with the installation of EasyTour version 1.1. You will not lose any of your tour data, and EasyTour version 1.1 will install the latest USB Downloader drivers.

This issue will be resolved in a future release.
