When opening Guard1 Plus you receive the following error:



The error may occur multiple times and be followed by:



After acknowledging all the errors, Guard1 Plus opens but the window is empty.


The error may recur when closing Guard1 Plus.







Verify the affected database's Collation Method is set to the default case-insensitive (CI) method for the SQL Server installed language:


  1. Open SQL Management Studio.
  2. Expand the Database list.
  3. Right-click the affected Guard1 Plus database and select Properties.
  4. In the left pane click Options.
  5. Verify the Collation Method matches the default shown above for the installed language of your SQL Server.


To change the database Collation Method:

  1. Close all windows but SQL Management Studio.
  2. Ensure that Guard1 Plus and Rounds Tracker are closed on all client workstations.
  3. On the Guard1 Plus server, stop the TKS Guard1 Plus Service and the TKS Guard1 Plus Attendant Service.
  4. In Management Studio, right-click the affected Guard1 Plus database and select Properties, then select Options in the left pane.
  5. In the right pane, select the appropriate Collation Method from the list above for your SQL Server language from the dropdown.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Restart the ReportServer service.
  8. Start the TKS Guard1 Plus Service and the TKS Guard1 Plus Attendant Service.
  9. Open Guard1 Plus and attempt to view the report.
