Resolution

Log in to Windows as Local Administrator and launch attempt to perform the action again. If the error does not recur, assign the following minimum required permissions to all User Accounts that will be using Guard1 Plus and/or Rounds Tracker:

Disable the Windows "Fast User Switching" option to ensure that another User Account can not have Guard1 Plus processes running. Guard1 Plus is not compatible with concurrent User sessions.

If the error occurs when attempting to Archive or Backup your data using the Data Maintenance Wizard, verify that your Windows User Account has "Modify" permissions to the folder where you are trying to save the Archive or Backup file.

If the error occurs when the Attendant attempts to process a download (DL) file:

Versions 2.x and 3.x:

  1. Close all open programs.
  2. Open My Computer.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Guard1 Plus (or C:\TimeKeeping Systems\Guard1 Plus if Windows Vista or 7).
  4. Select all files with names like "DL20060628143000".
  5. Right-click the selected files and click Cut.
  6. Paste the files to a convenient folder such as My Documents.
  7. Open Guard1 Plus.

Versions 4.x:

  1. On the Attendant SE computer where the error is occurring, close all open programs and shut down Attendant SE.
  2. Open My Computer.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Guard1 Plus SE.
  4. Select all files with names like "DL20060628143000".
  5. Right-click the selected files and click Cut.
  6. Paste the files to a convenient folder such as My Documents.
  7. Start Attendant SE.

Refer to Error Processing Download File for more information on DL file corruption.

The DL files that you moved out of the Guard1 Plus folder can be sent to Technical Support for analysis. We may be able to determine the cause of the corruption.  We may also be able to recover some of your data. However, we cannot guarantee that any data is recoverable.

If you continue to receive the error after performing the steps above, disable your antivirus software temporarily and perform the action that triggers the error. If the error does not recur, contact your system administrator to have your antivirus application settings changed to allow this activity.
