Activate Error: Automation Error The specified module could not be found.

If you open the Activation Wizard, this error appears





The current user does not have sufficient rights to the license activation folder and/or to the registry keys.




Follow these steps to resolve this activation error.

  1. Browse to the folder C:\ProgramData\TimeKeeping Systems\License Activation Wizard.
  2. Delete the DataStore.xml file.
  3. Open the Registry Editor by opening a command line prompt and typing regedit. If you do not have permissions to edit the registry editor, log off and log in with a local administrator account.
  4. Verify that the current windows account has “Full Control” permissions on the Registry Key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Timekeeping Systems and all of its Sub Keys (LAW) .
  5. Close the Registry Editor.
  6. From the Start button, open All Programs>TimeKeeping Systems>Guard1 Plus> Activation Wizard and right-click to Run as Administrator.
  7. Follow the directions provided to activate your Guard1 Plus installation.
