During the initial configuration of Guard1 Plus SE you receive the following error during the Reports configuration phase of the Data Maintenance Application:

You must clear the Report Server connection parameters and specify the correct Report Server Virtual Directory name.

  1. Close all open windows.
  2. In File Explorer, browse to C:\ProgramData\TimeKeeping Systems\Guard1 Plus\TKS Guard1Plus Service.
  3. Delete the file Tks.G1Plus.Dc.G1pRsConfig. This clears the Report Server connection parameters.
  4. In the Windows All Programs menu, under Microsoft SQL Server > Configuration Tools, click Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. In the left pane, click Web Service URL.
  7. In the right pane, note the name in the Virtual Directory field (e.g. ReportServer_SQLEXPRESS). This is the value that must be entered in the Report Server Virtual Directory field of the Data Maintenance Application.
  8. From the All Programs menu, launch the Guard1 Plus Data Maintenance Application by right-clicking the shortcut and clicking Run as administrator.
  9. Log in with your Guard1 Plus SE Supervisor credentials.
  10. On the Reporting Services Configuration page, enter the connection parameters for the SQL Reporting Services server:
    1. Name or IP address of the SQL Reporting Services server.
      • If using a custom port for your Reporting Services Web Service URL, include the port number after the Name or IP address of the Reporting Services server, separated by a colon (e.g. RSServerName:Port#). This is not required for the default ports.
    2. Name of the Report Server Virtual Directory from Step 7. The default is ReportServer.
    3. Name of the Report Folder that will be created for Guard1 Plus SE reports (the default is G1PSE).
    4. If you have configured Reporting Services to use SSL, select the Use SSL (HTTPS) checkbox.
  11. Click Next.

Reports should configure successfully.
