Resolution

Check the Guard1 Plus CD for damage. Try installing on another PC; if the error does not occur on a different PC, the CD is not the problem.

Verify that your CD or DVD drive is functioning correctly.

Verify that the Windows User Account you are logged in with has Local Administrator permissions. Guard1 Plus must be installed using a Local Administrator account.

Verify that you are installing Guard1 Plus locally. Guard1 Plus can not be installed across a network.

Verify that the Windows file system is FAT32 or NTFS. To do this, open My Computer, right-click on the C: drive and select "Properties". The File System will be listed at the top of the screen, under the drive name and type.

Rename the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShied to “InstallShieldOld”, then try installation again.

Empty the folder C:\Windows\Temp, then try installation again.
