Symptoms

When attempting to mount a .G1P file as an Archive or to Restore a .G1P file from any PC other than the SQL Server, you receive the following error:

Resolution

Guard1 Plus SE 5.2 provides a SqlBulkCopyBatchSize parameter that can be used on resource-restricted PCs to improve performance of bulk data conversion . Decreasing this value should resolve the error.

 

  1. Close all open programs.
  2. Open File Explorer.
  3. Navigate to the Guard1 Plus installation folder.  This will be either C:\Program Files\TimeKeeping Systems\Guard1 Plus or C:\Program Files (x86)\TimeKeeping Systems\Guard1 Plus depending on your operating system.
  4. Double-click the file Tks.G1Plus.DataMaintenance.Application.exe.config. If prompted to select a program to open the file with, choose Notepad.
  5. Find the following line in the file:
  6. Change 100000 to 5000.
  7. Close the file.  Click Save when prompted.
  8. Repeat the operation that caused the error.
