Guard1 Plus SE Reporting Services is not configured to work with Guard1 Plus SE Archive databases by default.  It is possible to configure Reporting Services to run reports on Archive databases.

  1. On a PC where the Guard1 Plus SE Local Client is installed, go to the command prompt and navigate to the Guard1 Plus SE Server directory. NOTE: if you are not working on the same PC where the shared folder resides, you will have to map the folder to a local drive, then navigate to that drive at the command prompt.
  2. At the Command Prompt type G1Cfg 0.  This will display a list of the current Data Sources (databases). Archive databases will have Type : Archive. Leave this window open for reference.
  3. At the Command Prompt type G1RSCfg 601;Data Source Name;Credentials Identifier;Language Identifier then press Enter.
    • Where:
      • Data Source Name = the name of the Archive data source you want to view RS reports for
      • Credentials Identifier = Specifies the type of credentials to use to access the Guard1 Plus SE data source. Use 1 for Guard1 Plus SE user credentials or 2 for Windows current user credentials (recommended).
      • Language Identifier = specifies the language of the reports that will be stored on the Report Server. Use 1 for English or 2 for German.
  4. A new data source directory with the same name as the Data Source Name above will be created in the Guard1 Plus SE root directory on the Report Server, and the reports will be deployed.
  5. Repeat Step 2 for each Archive data source.
  6. When finished, close all open windows.

To view reports:

  1. Open the Guard1 Plus SE Client.
  2. Click File > Open Archive and select an Archive for which the RS Reports were configured above.
  3. On the Reporting Services tab, select the report to view, enter the desired parameters and click Print Preview.  The report will open in Reporting Services.

NOTE: Archive reports cannot be saved on the Report Server - they must be run from the Guard1 Plus SE Client.
