Introduction

Certain Guard1 Plus errors require re-registering the Guard1 Plus Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files.

 

Resolution

  1. Close Guard1 Plus.
  2. Click Start > Run (XP) or click Start, then click in the Search box (Vista).
  3. Type CMD then press Enter.
  4. At the Command Prompt, type cd \ then press Enter.
  5. Type cd program files\guard1 plus (XP) or cd timekeeping systems\guard1 plus (Vista) then press Enter.
  6. Type regsvr32 CRP32DLL.dll then press Enter.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type regsvr32 G1Buttons.dll then press Enter.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Type regsvr32 G1Downloads.dll then press Enter.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Type regsvr32 G1Facilities.dll then press Enter.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Type regsvr32 G1Keypads.dll then press Enter.
  15. Click OK.
  16. Type regsvr32 G1Logo.dll then press Enter.
  17. Click OK.
  18. Type regsvr32 G1Reports.dll then press Enter.
  19. Click OK.
  20. Type regsvr32 G1System.dll then press Enter.
  21. Click OK.
  22. Type regsvr32 G1WizardServices.dll then press Enter.
  23. Click OK.
  24. Close the Command Window.
  25. Insert your Guard1 Plus CD into your CD ROM drive. It should auto play; if it does not, open My Computer and navigate to your CD drive, then double-click Setup.exe to start the installer.
  26. Select Repair, then follow the prompts to repair your installation.
